Shoot For the Stars

Hi everyone!  My friend, Rachel Leggieri, has signed up to be a Team Captain for the Light the Night Walk which benefits the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. Similar to the American Cancer Society's Relay for Life, each team is responsible for raising their own funds to fully benefit the Society.

In order to raise funds, Racheal has decided to organize her own event called "Shoot for the Stars." In which I will be helping her out. ...This will be an a 18 and older pong tournament, consisting of 3 events, with prizes being awarded to the top teams. Once I have gathered a list of all prizes from local venues, I will post them on this event page.

Price: $10 for a team of two under the age of 21; $20 for a team of two over the age of 21 (or if you have a team with one person over 21 and one person under, it will be $5 for the under 21 and $10 for the over).

This price will get you free food, a free pitcher of beer for teams over 21 and a free shot at winning the tournament prizes, which currently include movie tickets, gift certificates for local restaurants and a gift card for city beverage. ALL PROCEEDS will be donated to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society

Like always our cups for the game will be filled with water, not beer. The price is higher for those above the age of 21 because you will be getting a free pitcher of beer included in your price. There will be other refreshments available as well as food and other entertainment, including a DJ.

For those who are interested in coming to the event to show their support but do not want to participate in the tournament, the price will be $5.

IDs will be checked and wristbands will be distributed to those over the age of 21. I am trying to make this a serious event and underage drinking will not be tolerated.

We will run 3 tournaments (main event and 2 side events)
Main Event:
2v2
double elinmation
top 4 prizes TBA
NEPA Pong Top Ten Player Rule (Top Ten Ranked Players can't team up)

Side events
male and female 1v1 tounrment

Male 1v1 (females are aloud to play)
Prize: Offical BPong Table, racks, cups and balls
NEPA Pong Top 3 Rule (Top 3 can not participate)

Female 1v1 tournament
Prize: TBA
