Description

To maintain their current ranking position, each player must participate in a major BPONG-Sanctioned event each year. In the event that a player does not participate for an entire year, their Rating will be adjusted in January.

The players rating will be reduced by an adjustment factor calculated as one fifth of (Previous_ Player_Rating - 5000). If this is factor is below 0, no adjustment is made.

For instance, if a player has a rating of 6000, their rating will be reduced by (1/5) * (6000-5000) = 200. Their new rating will be 5800.
