Description

When:	Saturday, December 4th, 2010 Registration starts: 11:00 National Anthem: 12:00 Play begins: 12:15
Where:	Laurel Park Route 198 and Racetrack Road Laurel, MD 20724 (301) 529-3603 The Laurel Park Website Located in the Carriage Room. Use the Grandstand Entrance and make a left.
Structure:	Games will be played by MDBP rules Seeding based on the 2010 rankings 64-team bracket All teams guaranteed a minimum of 3 games: Double elimination Winner's bracket will be best 2 out of 3 series Loser's bracket will be individual games The championship will begin with either a single game or a best of 3 series (determined by the choice of the winners bracket representative). In the event the loser's bracket representative wins the first game/series, the remaining option will be played to determine the state champions. Cash side tournaments (sit 'n' gos) all day starting after first elimination round.
Prizes:	World Series of Beer Pong VI entry for the winners* ($1,100 value) Includes WSOBP entry, 4-night hotel stay in Las Vegas, and a chance at the $65,000 prize pool. $1,000 in cash payouts for the Top 7: 1st: $350 + WSOBP bid 2nd: $300 3rd: $160 4th: $80 5th: $50 6th: $30 7th: $30 Trophies for 1st-3rd place Ribbons for 4th-8th place
Awards:	Along with the tournament winners, several season-long awards will be given out to deserving teams: Excellence Award - To the team with the highest MD State Ranking. Achievement Award - To the team with best performance in national/international competition. Best All-Female Award - To the best all-female team of the year. Unsung Hero Award - To the team that never won a tournament but that consistently performed at a high level. Spirit Award - To the team who's passion for the game transcends their win/loss record.
Beer:	Tournament beer is included with entry fee.
T-shirts:	All participants will receive official State Championship T-shirts. Additional t-shirts available for purchase.
Eligibility:	This tournament will feature 64 teams. We strive to invite only the most worthy players to perticipate. If we cannot fill the event with qualified players, we will fill the bracket based on the following criteria (ordered by preference): Both players must have qualified by placing top 5 in an MDBP tournament or one player has qualified and your team has played together at an MDBP tournament or both players are Maryland residents For example, two PA residents that placed 3rd in a State Qualifier are eligible. Two MD residents that have not qualified are eligible but with lower priority.
Registration:	Tournament entry (including beer and t-shirts) is: $50 / team if you register online by Nov 1st. $55 / team if you register after Nov 1st. $60 / team day of registration (if available).
